Just Some Thoughts
I originally planned to play Final Fantasy XI sometime in my life, but sadly it will not happen. I've always never been a fan of massive multiplayer online games. The only ones I'd played before were ones like Club Penguin and Fusion Fall. They were alright, but the technology wasn't reliable at the time, so I eventually abandoned them. It wasn't until a while afterwards that I started to play Elder Scrolls Online that I found out that MMOs have grown up. They are now user friendly and can easily be fun and addictive. I had purchased a copy of Final Fantasy XI for the Xbox 360 a while ago, so I began to look into how the game worked. Sadly, it did not suit my tastes. I'm sure it's a good game, but I really don't want to pay a monthly fee in addition to my Xbox Live monthly fee. Also, they announced that support for the Playstation 2 and Xbox 360 version will be dropped in 2016, so I probably don't have enough time to do everything in the game by then. Unfortunately, I'm going to pass this one up. I'm most likely going to pass Final Fantasy XIV when I get that far too since that one is also an MMO, but it isn't even on an Xbox console. However, I didn't want to completely skip over it. That's why I made this little segment for my website, to fill the hole in the list of Final Fantasy reviews.
