Left 4 Dead Reviews
Left 4 Dead is one of my favorite games of all time. It is my favorite game to play online multiplayer with my friends, whether it be Campaigns, Versus, Survival, Scavenge, or Mutations. My gamertag is ZombieOrbit44, so if your looking for someone to play with or to help get achievements, just send me a message. However, realize that I have a strict set of ethics and beliefs I play by. Please read the information below before you try to join my games.
Reason For Playing
I play Left 4 Dead 2, and sometimes Left 4 Dead 1, to have a great time. I enjoy playing Campaign Mode, Versus Mode, Survival Mode, Scavenge Mode, and Mutations. Basically I play this game all the time. There is rarely a day where I do not play some L4D2. I enjoy working as a team through the campaigns and I enjoy messing with the survivors on versus. I am very good at spotting Special Infected before they can attack and when they do pin someone, I always save them as fast as I can. As the survivors, I use machine guns and melee weapons if available. As the enemies, I am very good at being a Spitter, Smoker, Boomer, Tank, and especially the Charger which is my favorite. I try to win with the best of my abilities, but I don't get mad when I lose. I do not rage quit. The only times I leave a game before completion are when I have a commitment in the real world to attend to.
Nobody Is Left Behind
We never leave behind anybody. If one guy gets incapacitated, then another guy will revive him while the other two defend them. The only time we would ever leave anyone behind is if they tell us themselves to go on without them. However, even then sometimes I will still try to save them. If we are playing a campaign, and someone gets incapacitated in a place we can't backtrack to, everyone will go idle and eventually will warp back to the player to revive them. One of the places people are most likely to be left behind is the finales, be it by choice or against our will. If everyone is in the rescue vehicle and the last guy gets incapacitated, then the rescue vehicle will leave him behind without our consent. Sorry if that happens to you, it's not our fault.
Kicking Is Almost Forbidden
I find it extremely rude to kick anybody. All they are trying to do is have fun playing the game and you try to deny them of this? It just isn't fair. If you join one of my games, try to kick someone, and I fail to see the reason, I will vote against the kick every single time you try it. It will always have two votes against, so it will never pass. It is forbidden to kick anybody for any of the following reasons:
1. Play Hours: Some people think that how long you have played the game has a major effect on how well they play. This is inherently not true. There are people who are really good at first person shooters who are a master as soon as they play the first time, and their are people not so good and get better through practice. How are they supposed to practice if they keep getting kicked? My point exactly.
2. Apparent Skill: Just because somebody doesn't have a lot of skill is no reason why they should be kicked. If you are playing for glory, you have no place being in one of my games. We let new people stay to practice and we give them tips. It is their choice if they use our advice or not. Do not be strict with new players and do not insult or bully them for their performance.
3. Simple Mistakes: Everybody makes mistakes, whether they are new to the game or not. Just because somebody misses with a Spitter acid patch, or someone misses with a charger, or someone dies shortly as a Jockey after jumping someone, is no reason to kick anybody. Simple mistakes are usually just one time occurrences and do not represent their overall skill.
4. Accidental Friendly Fire: Friendly fire is something that happens in this game a lot. Except when playing on advance or expert difficulties, friendly fire only does minimal damage and does not heavily effect the odds of winning. Do not kick someone just because you ran into their line of fire and took 4 damage.
Let's Be Nice Now, OK?
If you have a mic, I suggest you use it because verbal communication greatly increases the chance of survival. It allows us to make plans and execute them at the highest efficiency. However, I do not like it if you bad mouth anybody for any reason. I myself, do not use swear words and the baddest word I use is crap. I do not like playing with people that swear all the time.
Consequences
If you try to kick someone three times, you constantly swear into the mic over the whole campaign, or you team kill, you will be subject to being kicked. I'm sorry, but you must understand that we are honorable gamers, and do not like it when people are mean and unjust. Being honorable and a good sport are more important than winning. I will also submit a player review and dislike you so that you will be less likely to join one of my game sessions.
